Why this magazine is called Praxis Liebenswert

From time to time, readers ask why an online magazine is called Praxis Liebenswert.
Whether the word praxis might be misleading.
Whether it sounds like therapy.

The short answer is:
No — but the question makes sense.

The longer answer begins somewhere else.

When Praxis Liebenswert was created, the intention was never to build another space where women are told what they need to fix, heal or optimize.
It was meant to be a place for real life.

For experiences that don’t fit neatly into explanations.
For transitions that are not linear.
For moments that linger — even when everything seems “fine” on the outside.

The word praxis here does not mean treatment.
It means life practice.
The lived experience of navigating sensitive phases such as fertility, pregnancy, birth, caesarean section and motherhood — especially for highly sensitive women.

Liebenswert does not describe a goal to be achieved.
It is not a state one has to earn.
It is a perspective.

A perspective that says:
You are worthy — even when you are tired.
Even when you don’t have answers.
Even when something is still unresolved.

Praxis Liebenswert is not a place for quick solutions.
It is an editorial space for orientation, language and reflection —
situated between medical reality and inner experience,
between knowledge and emotion,
between what happened and what is still unfolding.

The name may feel unusual at first.
But perhaps that is exactly the point.

Because this is not a practice in the clinical sense.
It is a practice of living —
with sensitivity, responsibility and compassion.

And sometimes, that is the kind of practice we need most.
